SELECTED NELLIE TINDER PERFORMANCE HISTORY: 

For Artists Only     
For Artists Only  (formerly titled SCHOOL DAYS) was created as a Nellie Tinder production with a 2006-2007 space grant from Brooklyn Arts eXchange.  A workshop performance was held at BAX in October 2006.  A work-in-progress premiered at CATCH! at Galapagos Arts Space in October 2005 & August, 2006 and at Bushwhacked May 2009.  For Artists Only has or will star Jennie MaryTai Liu, Hannah Heller, Sarah Ashford Hart, Jon Lundbom, Meghan Ritchie and Julia May Jonas.  A full production ran December 2009 at the Ontological Hysteric Theater in New York City starring Laine Rettmer, Nina Kassa, Meghan Ritchie and Jon Lundbom.                      

EMPIRE TODAY
A workshop production of EMPIRE TODAY, a solo show about Africa, foot care, Brueghel The Elder and urban decay was presented at the Catch! Series at Starr Space, December 2008.  The next installment was performed at BAX (www.bax.org) February 2009.  EMPIRE TODAY was published in The Brooklyn Review, 2009.

Take Heart
Take Heart, the tragic tale of a child liar and her downfall set to autoharp accompaniment, premiered at PS122 as part of the soloNOVA festival, June 2008.  Directed by Jess Barbagallo, written and performed by Julia May Jonas, set by Sara Walsh, costumes by Normandy Sherwood.

The Penitent Hours
A play of family history, abortion and madrigals, The Penitent Hours premiered at The Bushwick Starr December, 2007 starring Beth Kurkjian, Jenny Seastone Stern, Stéphane Magloire, Julia May Jonas and Jon Lundbom.  Set design by Courtland Premo, costumes by Wendy Yang, lighting design by Laura Mrockowski. 

Tess In Time
Tess in Time, an alt-country experimental musical debuted as part of the La Mama Moves! festival April 27th-29th, 2007 starring Julia May Jonas and Jon Lundbom.

New Trends: (Nellie Thinks About Motivation)
One-act play for 3 and guitar performed at PS 122 in October 2005, WAX at University Settlement in May, 2005 and Galapagos Arts Space in April, 2005 starring Tim Donovan, Mike Robinson, Julia May Jonas and Jon Lundbom.

I Don’t Want to be Remembered as a Chair (Nellie Thinks About Religion)
One-act dance-theater piece for four performers using the interviews, music & dance of the Shakers. 
Performed at Red Humor Salon & Galapagos Arts Space, April & June 2004 staring Alicia Andrews, Peter Van Steemburg, Croft Vaughn and Julia May Jonas.

A collaboration with Jenny Seastone Stern adapting Thornton Wilder’s The Bridge of San Luis Rey.

MakeShift
Dance-theater essay about experimental theater and colonial life.  Performed at The American Living Room Festival, HERE Arts Center, August 2003.

Suicide Brunch
An original experimental play for 6 performers, directed by Peter S. Petralia, Performed at HERE Arts Center, June 2002
